Thank you for considering adoption! All pets are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and dogs microchipped.

Applications for adoption are required for all animals and are subject to approval based on the information provided. You must be at least 18 years old to adopt. Applications can be delayed in order to follow up on previous veterinary history. Bring health history and vaccination records of all previous and current pets in order to facilitate your application.

More than one application will be taken on any animal. Safe Animal Shelter does not award pets based on a "first-come" basis, but rather on which pet family will be the best match for our adoptable cat or dog. Only approved applicants will be contacted regarding their application.

Pet Matching

Bringing a new family member home is a huge decision and so many factors can make the process a rewarding success or a failure. You must make not only a financial commitment but also one of time. Our policy is to ensure a proper match between the selected animal(s) and applicant(s) considering past pet history, vet reference checks, living environment, working hours, lifestyle, etc. Safe Animal Shelter exists to ensure dogs and cats find their forever homes so that they may receive the care and attention they need. Know that often when appropriate care and attention is not provided, only then will undesirable behaviors arise.
