About Animal Adoptability

All Dogs and Cats are given all necessary shots and vaccines current for their age. All animals are (or will be) spayed or neutered before they can be adopted and taken home. Therefore, when animals are entered into our database we unconditionally indicate they are spayed or neutered.

We try to give all of our animals exposure to being seen as much as possible to attract potential adopters to them. This includes some animals that due to their age are not quite ready to be adopted as they must be old enough (typically 10-12 weeks) before they can be spayed or neutered.

Therefore you should make note of the age of very young puppies and kittens that you are interested in since they may not be ready to be adopted pending coming of age to undergo surgery.

We do allow potential adopters to fill out an application for these animals even though they are not readily available for adoption. Animals with approved applications will be given priority over other animals for scheduling their surgery. Normally an animal can go home within 1-2 days following their surgery.

Please review Our Adoption Approval Policy for more information about applying for one of our pets.
