Requirements

Volunteers are representatives of Safe Animal Shelter and must be at least 21yrs of age. If you have a love for animals and have a minimum of 8 hours a month (two 4hr shifts) for at least 6 months to donate your in-kind services, please download our application now. Due to the amount of training involved at Safe Animal Shelter, our volunteer program is not geared for short-term volunteer commitments.

Dress Protocol

We require that you wear a volunteer t-shirt while on the property for identification purposes. Long pants and closed toe shoes with a non-slip sole are a must.

Scheduling & Time Commitment

Each day of the week, Monday - Sunday we have two 4 hour shifts available. AM Shift: 9a - 1p and PM Shift: 1 - 5p. We try to schedule shifts one week in advance. You can provide us with your available days and shift by emailing us.

Tracking our volunteer hours is very important. Please sign in and then sign out each time you volunteer with us!
